If you are a highly skilled health care provider or teacher and you would like to give back to your community,
apply now for consideration in The Mindfulness Center’s Community program
The Mindfulness Center is looking for Master Teachers interested in giving back in support of your community. Master Teachers with expertise in yoga, meditation, Tai Chi, Qigong, dance and other mind-body practices are invited to apply.
We offer donation-based classes on our virtual platform which are taught by exceptional volunteer master teachers. Donations for classes taught by volunteer master teachers support our charitable programs, such as our Mother’s Haven program which supports mom’s in recovery from addiction, diversity training for law enforcement, and trauma care for teachers in low-income schools.
If you are looking for a place to satisfy community service hours to complete yoga or meditation teacher program training requirements, The Mindfulness Center has a community that would welcome your service. You must be able commit to a minimum of 20 hours of service within a four month period, teaching a regularly occurring class on our class schedule. Classes will be taught virtually, so you must have a professional looking teaching space with good wifi access, but you can be located anywhere in the world. We will be offering some special event classes at outdoor venues (such as farms and wineries) and unique locations in the Washington, DC area so you will have the option to host some occasional special classes if you are local.
